Complex Price Breaks Co-operation

Here is what we can do for price break cooperation. We were able to adapt the existing discount processes to accommodate the price breaks we have recently made. This new plan will require a new layer of checking in the logic.

Current Price Break functionality: 

Buy X of this product for a $Y (or Y%) discount on each item purchased (completed)

Price Break based on same priced items:

Buy X (number of) products of the same price for a $Y (or Y%) discount on each item purchased.

Can also be applied to products in the same category:

Buy any X (number of) products in the CD category for a $Y (or Y%) discount on each item purchased.

Price breaks based on products tagged for bulk purchase.

Buy any X (number of) products with a Bulk Purchase discount label for a $Y (or Y%) discount on each item purchased.

Can also be applied to products in the same category:

Buy any X (number of) products with a Bulk Purchase discount label in the CD category for a $Y (or Y%) discount on each item purchased.

Our attitude is the build a whole feature set rather than just a tweak. We have found unless the whole feature is built, it ends up biting back because it annoys people who want it but "Just a bit different".
