In traditional product selling, a buyer walks into a store, skims through the merchandise available, picks up an item of his choice, and buys it. He seldom gets an opportunity to check the prices of the same item in other stores. Let us assume that a buyer drops in to a mobile store. He only gets to see the mobile phones showcased in that particular store. He does not even get to know if a better model is available in the market at a much lower price.
Also, if a desired product or model is not available in a store, the buyer proceeds to another store. This continues until the desired product or model is found. Sometimes, out of frustration, the even gives up.

After you have defined the product attributes and shipping methods, you are ready to sell your product online. Follow the procedure below to put your product for sale:
- Click Products in the side navigation bar. The Products screen appears.
- Click Manage Products. The Products screen appears with the categorized list of products that are already listed for sale.
- Create a product category by clicking New Category under Product Management, specifying the category name and other required information, and clicking Image:I save.gif. The category is created and listed in the screen.
- Click New Product under Product Management. The product creation screen appears where you can specify the required information and create the product.
Your product is now listed for sale.
