The enormous growth in information technology and the internet has enabled the bookings for events such as auditions, speech, etc, to be done online.

The Freeway project was originally created for a yoga class. Later on, it was extended to support a wide range of events. Some of its features are as follows:

  • Support for single events with multiple recurring sessions
  • Support for events with renewal periods
  • Precedence for old customers over new customers when buying an ongoing event

[edit] Freeway Event Selling

Using freeway, you can sell events such as such as dance classes, movie shows, training sessions, and so on. To put an event for sale involves defining the event sessions, attributes, and defining the event by specifying required information.

Before defining the event, you must define the various locations where you intend to conduct your events.

[edit] Instructors

The term “Instructor” refers to the person who presents the event. For example, if the event is a speech, the speaker is the instructor. If the event is a dance performance, the dancer is the instructor.

[edit] Usage

After you have defined the product attributes and shipping methods, you are ready to sell your events online. Follow the procedure below to put an event for sale:

  1. Click Events in the side navigation bar. The Events Check-in screen appears.
  2. Click Manage Events. The Events screen appears with the categorized list of products that are already listed for sale.
  3. Create a product category by clicking New Category under Event Management, specifying the category name and other required information, and clicking . The category is created and listed in the screen.
  4. Click New Event under Event Management. The event creation screen appears where you can specify the required information and create the event.

The event is now listed for sale.
