I have tried to log in using what I thought was the user name and password but am not totally sure now. I tried to get the password resent but it won’t recognise the info and I get: ERROR: first name and Email Address not match!

Is there a way of me looking on the server for the password or the correct First Name, as the e-mail address should be OK?

Thanks and I think Freeway is fantastic even though I am only just getting into this area of web design.

Welcome to Freeway.

Please do the following things and check it.

Just update the top admin user in the database back to username "freeway@zac-ware.com", password "admin" by running these simple queries in your freeway database:

update admin set admin_password='39a89a28169b53c7e58438558adc5e37:7b' where admin_id='1';

update admin set admin_email_address='freeway@zac-ware.com' where admin_id='1';

Now, if you give this username and password, you can login to admin.
Then you can change your email address and password as you want through ‘Admin > My Account’.

Hi and thanks for that, I am really trying hard to learn about the new technoligies and e-commerce.

As I am very new to this set up can you explain how I get to the top admin user in the database to make those changes and how I run those queries. Everything seems to be set up and working great other than this problem. How do I get to the database on my server or am I thinking about this wrongly.

Also, I am now 100% sure I am using the correct first name and e-mail address to have the password resent but it comes back with the error.

This does not work!!!

Ive ran the update query several times, with Database Changed Msg appearing..

I know Vista is probably not the best choice to run Apache and MySQL on but is this whats causing me headaches??

Can not get rid of the;

"/freeway/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file."

either.. Set user permission to read only it wont go away...

I installed and configured this and then couldn't login with my admin email and password. The database hack listed above did not work. (I could login but everything errored out when trying to naviagte in the admin area).

So.....

I started again, from scratch, installed everything again in a different directory, new dBase etc.

After 3 hours I've got it all working again.

Then I logged out......

You guessed it, my (correct) admin email and password is not being accepted.

What on Earth is going on here ? This is so frustrating.

I installed and couldn´t get as admin so, this is what I did:

1. I got in my panel administration/MySQL Management/phpMyAdmin
2. select same database name created and specified during installation
3. In Left column select "admin" (this is your table:admin)
4. Write info provided by rameshrangan:
email freeway@zac-ware.com
password: 39a89a28169b53c7e58438558adc5e37:7b
5. Get in your store

Hi Freeway,
Please do the following things.
Just go the table in your database where admin name, password and email id are stored. Then check, which admin name, password and email id you write in your login page are match with your table data. If it is not match then you are not login in your site. You remember all this data which is in database and then login. You can also update admin name, password and your email id in database table.
