Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there is an add on to "import" products?

I am starting a online store and am considering freeway to do so.

Initally Ill need to import around 3000+ products, with pictures and descriptions and prices.

Then daily Ill need to upload a file of out of stock items & discontinued items ... I think i have a programmer who will write me a utility for inventory control, however wanted to ask about the inital import.

If need be I will have him write a module for the import but dont want to if not necessary.

Hi,

We can import the products using ‘Admin > Products > Advanced > Products Import’. But the .csv file to be imported should be in correct format. For example, if we export the Freeway database using ‘Admin > Products > Advanced > Products Export’, it will give a .csv file. So you have to convert your .csv file like this exported format for successful import.
