what i have understood about earlier posts the customer cant print tickets with barcode when purchasing event online, is this correct? what are the tickets for then in events? how can i use them?could some admin clear this ticket thing a bit for me?thanks in advance.

This is what we are doing. This is a pet favourite of mine that we at ZacWare have not completed yet. At present, it is a low priority task so it should be completed in the next month.

This task is to add ticketing to emails sent on registration for events.

1.) Update the A4 event ticketing example already sent in the Freeway style. Add an US legal size ticket as well. Attach here.

2.) Create an option in Events > Manage Events > Event named "Attach event to email" as a tick box. If ticked, attach the ticket to the registration email.

3.) In Events > Tickets, Add an option to choose "Ticket type" as a drop down with simple (the current one and "Full page A4" and "Full page US Legal".

4.) Create a ticket based on the original draft. At present, there is no need to add Gate, Row, Section or Seat Add a Ticket number.

5.) As with the existing tickets, offer the choice to alter the standard text. The configurable sections are shown in the attached image. Please substitute Merge Fields for the dynamic content.

thanks for info. how can i find out when the ticket "extension" comes available? i live in finland and will be needing to use barcodes that fit in finnish/european systems, i wonder if freeway can do this? or if not i must change the barcode code myself i think.

Hi there,

I think this change will take about a month. We are not looking to support a wide range of barcodes now. It is not something we had thought about very much apart from MMS 2D barcodes.

Can you educate us about the barcodes types you would need? No promises about building support for them.

I recognize the original post is now several months old, so perhaps a different solution set now exists.

Tickets are correctly created, however, I do not see the path you elude to Manage Events-->Tickets to add a ticket to the email upon registration completion.

Is this now automatic or still an option that should be created in the backend. If later, how is it accomplished, again,please.

I see how/where to edit the Ticket Template in Payments, but do not see how to attach/deliver to customer.
