Melbourne Joomla Day talk
I did a talk at Joomla Day in Melbourne on Feb 2nd about Freeway and the integration work we are doing. It was great fun and I was particularly pleased to meet some of the key people in the project and core team members. Isn't Joomla in good shape?
My talk about Freeway and how we are building integrations with Joomla was well received as well. I did the usual talk about Freeway and how it extends open source eCommerce into new areas. It was great to go around the audience and ask the types of services/events etc. that people would like to sell and how many we cover already. I also did a brief demo of the linkage extensions we have already created which worked well.
I'll have a great sense of achievement when we get the modules and component into the Joomla Extension directory. We made the decision early last year to create extensions for Joomla, Drupal and typo3 and now it is well underway.
A special thanks to Matthais Raab and family for looking after me so well and also to Matthais for organising such a great event which included novices to the most experienced.
We are in the process of quoting on a huge Joomla/Freeway job. If we get it, it's going to be a lot of fun.
So onward and ever upward with Joomla and Freeway!
